Zero Defects International Brings in Taiyo PCB Inspection System
Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been designated by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s programmed printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have achieved popular success in Europe and in Asia and are currently being brought in to the U . S . and Canada.
Prior to commencing this job, ZDI contacted various PCB manufacturers in an effort to determine if there would be a perceived demand for this kind of equipment. The opinion was that the product is one that will do an important function and, on top of that, present you with a very favorable ROI.
Latest initial trials in America have proved that the machine was able to locate flaws which passed typical visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s standard. Diagnosis capabilities contain: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
