Zero Defects International Brings in Taiyo PCB Inspection System

Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been assigned by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s intelligent printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have gained prevalent success in The European Union and in Asian countries and are now being introduced to the United States Of America and Canada.

Prior to commencing this job, ZDI contacted various PCB manufacturers with the intention to see whether there would be a perceived require for such equipment. The judgement was that the product is one that will perform a very important function and, at the same time, provide a very suitable Return on investment.

Recent initial trials in America have proved that the machine surely could uncover problems which passed common visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s specification. Detection capabilities comprise of: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
