Zero Defects International Brings in Taiyo PCB Inspection System
Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been allotted by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s automatic printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have enjoyed popular success in The European Union and in Asia and are right now being brought in to the United States and Canada.
Ahead of beginning this project, ZDI contacted lots of PCB producers with the intention to determine whether there would be a perceived desire for this sort of equipment. The popular opinion was that the product is one that will conduct a beneficial function and, in addition, provide a very acceptable Return on investment.
Latest initial trials in the US have demostrated that the machine surely could find out problems that passed regular visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s requirements. Detection capabilities contain: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
