Zero Defects International Brings in Taiyo PCB Inspection System
Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been allocated by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s intelligent printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have picked up widespread success in The European Union and in Japan and are right now being introduced to the United States and Canada.
Ahead of commencing this project, ZDI contacted all sorts of PCB producers with the intention to determine if there would be a perceived require for this kind of equipment. The comprehensive agreement was that the product is one that will perform an important function and, as well, offer a very ideal Return on investment.
Recent initial trials in America have proved that the machine managed to uncover defects that passed common visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s requirements. Detection capabilities comprise of: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
