Zero Defects International Introduces Taiyo PCB Inspection System
Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been assigned by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s computerized printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have enjoyed extensive success in The European Union and in Japan and are currently being brought to the United States and Canada.
Just before starting this job, ZDI contacted a number of PCB producers in an effort to see if there would be a perceived require for such equipment. The agreement was that the product is one that will conduct a very important function and, at the same time, provide a very favorable ROI.
Latest initial trials in the US have proved that the machine managed to locate problems which passed traditional visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s spec. Diagnosis capabilities consist of: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
