Zero Defects International Brings in Taiyo PCB Inspection System
Zero Defects International [ZDI] has been assigned by Taiyo Industrial Company, Japan, to manage the North American introduction of it’s automatic printed circuit board final inspection systems. These inspection systems have enjoyed extensive success in Europe and in Japan and are now being introduced to the United States Of America and Canada.
Just before commencing this work, ZDI contacted different PCB producers to be able to see whether there would be a perceived need for this sort of equipment. The judgement was that the product is one that will perform a very important function and, in addition, provide a very favorable Return on investment.
Recent initial trials in the United States have proven that the machine surely could uncover problems that passed traditional visual inspection but should have been flagged as not meeting the end customer’s standard. Detection capabilities include: exposed copper, solder mask on pads, scratches, foreign material, blocked holes and chipped plating.
